78% of executives see the Public Relations (PR) as an essential function for their companies ... Moreover, nearly two three companies have increased their PR budgets this year, according to an independent global survey commissioned by Lewis PR. The study was conducted by market research agency BrainJuicer among 150 senior executives from the U.S., Europe, Middle East and Africa, predominantly senior marketing.
The study reveals that 96% of companies recognizes the importance of PR, while nearly two-thirds think that Web 2.0 has made the process more visible to the entire organization.
A majority asserts that this increased visibility has had a positive effect and 60% believe that the rise of consumer journalism in the PR industry has become an essential business perceives the media has a significant impact on results and customer satisfaction.
Among respondents from all sectors highlights the high level of participation of chief executives in PR activities, a development that is unrelated to the type of sector. Just when the CEO is involved in PR, they are perceived as more important than when it is, according to two-thirds of respondents.
